Description
Compared to the typical Silver Arowana, the Albino Silver Arowana is more appealing and desirable due to its translucent pink eyes and intense yellow and orange colouring. Each scale in this chocolate crossbelly variation has a dark centre, creating a very noticeable, consistent pattern or dots. It is an uncommon phenomenon that only becomes apparent as the fish ages. Like most Silver Arowanas, it is common for them to develop a downward-looking eye as they age.
In the hobby of keeping fish, the Silver Arowana is by far the most common species. Native to South America, the Silver Arowana (often spelt Arahuana) is found in the Amazon River Basin.
